The Worldwide Leader will be coming to Wrigley Field.
Wednesday, ESPN announced its Sunday Night Baseball broadcast schedule through June 1, and also a couple of games beyond that, as well as the Little League Classic in August (Mariners vs. Mets).
The Cubs will be on SNB twice in April.
First, the finale of their three-game series at Dodger Stadium Sunday, April 13 will be carried on ESPN at 6 p.m. CT, with a first pitch likely at 6:10.
And, then the SNB crew will come to Wrigley Field Sunday, April 27, for the last of a three-game set with the Cubs hosting the Phillies — same broadcast and game time. It will be the first time SNB has been at Wrigley since June 23, 2024, when the Cubs lost a 5-2 game to the Mets. That was one of three appearances by the Cubs on SNB in 2024.
There will likely be others later — Sunday games vs. the Cardinals (July 6), Yankees (July 13) and Red Sox (July 20) are all possible choices for the Worldwide Leader.
Anyway, for now, mark your calendars for those two April dates.
