The two men who were killed in a shooting in the South Shore neighborhood Sunday morning have been identified.
The Cook County medical examiner’s office identified them as 31-year-old Derrick D. Harris and 37-year-old Devantel Strickland, both of Chicago.
The two men were discovered by police Sunday around 2:40 a.m. at the 7200 block of South Paxton Avenue. Harris and Strickland were discovered with multiple gunshot wounds and were transported to the University of Chicago Medical Center, where they were pronounced dead, police said.
A third victim, a 24-year-old male, was also found by police and sustained a gunshot wound to the right arm. He was transported to Advocate Christ Medical Center in good condition.
There is no one in custody.
